1000th Stamper Cards Received - 05

Ok, despite my best efforts, today's cards seem to mostly be washed-out versions of their actual beauty.  Please don't hold it against the creators.  I'm still continuing to share my cards I received for being the 1000th member of Positively Late Night Stampers' group on Stampin' Connection:

Kris Sobolik is our first creator today, who actually had a pretty and unique card to send.  She used the Blossom punch from our 2012 Occasions Mini.  If you like it - order today - the mini is only good until 4/30/12, and we're not sure yet if the punch will carryover to the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog (IBC).  I also spy the Finial Press embossing folder, making an impression on the card.  Love the colors!

Lauri Ingram made this intricate, multi-layer card, that was just absolutely unique!  The teacup on the front is embossed in white, and in the next little section she tucked in some yummy tea and a neat clip from our Clips Assortment (#112580).  Then, there was another section, and a bookmark was inside!  It's all perfect for curling up on one of the rainy days April has brought us so far.  :)  The teacup is from the Tea Shoppe stamp set, featured in our 2012 Occasions Mini.  I'm unsure if this stamp set will carry into the 2012-2013 IBC, so order by April 30th to get yours!

Leanna Kerr developed the only card that my camera seemed to like this posting!  Isn't it gorgeous with those coral and red colors?  I had coral in my wedding, so I'm definitely a fan!  I spy the Delicate Doilies stamp set involved here, which debuted in our 2011-2012 IBC.  Doilies aren't normally my cup of tea, but I think Leanna hit a home run here!

Lesley Poper designed this next one, which, while simple, is a great card for beginners and experienced card makers alike!  Leslie used both DSP and a stamp set we had in our Sale-A-Bration catalog this year, and then used part of the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder to jazz up the bottom of the card.  Way to go, Lesley!

Linda Passmore made another card I'd like to recreate!  She used an exclusive stamp set from the SAB catalog for this year, and made it look much more exciting than the picture.  I think 2-way glue pen was used to add some Stampin' Glitter to the stars, because they sure do shine.  Linda also spritzed some of the same blue onto the background of the white sheet the stars are stamped on, with our Color Spritzing Tool.  Nice Job!

Poor Lori-Ann Ball's card had the white completely washed out of it.  She used the Beautiful Butteflies Bigz Die, along with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit, if I don't miss my guess.  She also embossed the white cardstock that the butterflies are mounted on with (I think) the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder from the current IBC.  And she added bling!

1000th Stamper Cards Received - 04

This continues our edition of "1000th Member - Late Night Stampers".  :)

This was one of the first stamp sets I owned.  Pick a Petal.  Jenny Fulton is the creater of the card.  Though retired, it was just such a neat stamp set.  My upline, Judy Garza, has a huge bag of cards made with this stamp set - but each of them was totally different - and wasn't a flower!  I remember she had a mouse and candles...but I'd have to look at the bag again to see all of those neat ideas.

Jody Townsend's card definitely got washed out in this picture.  Hers is made with a retired stamp set as well, but her execution of it intrigued me.  I had to ask my upline what she did - because the stamped part didn't look like stamping.  It looked like a printed sheet of paper!  And gorgeous!  Evidently what she did is called the crayon-resis technique, on Stampin' Up!'s high quality glossy white cardstock.  It's one I'm going to HAVE to try soon!  Want to learn how to do it?  Contact me, and we'll play and learn together.  :)

Joy Hakes created this card.  It's another neat one!  At first, I thought it was a retired DSP on the top (designer series paper), but my upline neatly pointed out that the flowers are from our "For All You Do" stamp set, and she did the dashes and dotted outline herself with a black Stampin' Write marker.  How nifty!  Do you like this effect?  I do!  Better hurry, though, because "For All You Do" is a stamp set retiring after May 31, 2012.  Order your set now!

Ok, Julia Sager is another Demo that I CASEd from.  However, in this instance, I think the only thing I bothered to change was the green card.  I think she might've used Pear Pizazz, and I ended up using Certainly Celery.  NOT a big difference at all, in the scheme of things.  I just couldn't help it - it used some DSP I got for free, called Twitterpated, from our Occasions Mini.  However, I wasn't a real big fan of this particular batch of DSP, while everyone else in the world seemed to be, and I really ended up liking how this card looked with it on there.  This card is going on my card buffet, in honor of my mother, who got the "You're My Type" stamp set for her birthday.  That stamp set appears in the Occasions Mini as well - so order by 4/30/12 to get yours while they last!

Karen Miller did an excellent job of watercoloring in this card, which uses the stamp set Awash with Flowers.  The first thing that hit me on this card were the bright colors, and the color combination.  It's a neat one!  The stamp set used retires on May 31, 2012, so order now if you would love to do some watercoloring of your own.

Kathy Shapland's card really turned out neat - despite my camera's best intentions to sabotage the picture.  It uses embossing, watercoloring, the Big Shot die-cutting, and accessories. And then it sits up!  Gorgeous!

1000th Stamper Cards Received - 03

And here are even more of the great cards I received, which I've been posting the past few days:

France Fournier created this cute little gnome card.  We give gnomes to my mom, a lot, for almost every occasion.  We ended up giving her this stamp set, Gnome Sweet Gnome, for her 60th birthday.  France also used our neat little Framelit borders that came out in our 2012 Occasions Mini.  There's no guarantee that either of these products are surviving the mini to move onto the 2012-2013 IBC debuting in June, so order now, before the Occasions Mini deadline of 4/30/12 passes us by!

Heidi Weaver made this next one - and I have to tell you, I was so excited when I received this one!  Heidi was the first one to post a picture of the card she was sending, on the Stampin' Connection thread where I actually won the "1000th member of Positively Late Night Stampers'" contest.  And - she sent it from Canada!  I thought she just spectacularly made those water dots off on the right hand side - but no - I learned that's a Stampin' Up! set, French Foliage.  AWESOME!  I had to buy it after that!  Heidi also used our new Labels Framelits, which debuted in the Occasions Mini - so you'll need to snatch that up before 4/30/12 as well - in case it doesn't make it to the big book in June.

Helen Cummins made this one, and again, my photography skills were lacking.  It's such a vibrant, neat card!  I do manage to spy our new Blossom punch, which was found with the Mixed Bunch stamp set in the Occasions Mini.  You know it - grab it now before it might be gone forever!

Jamie Adcock made this simply sweet card, and it touches a special place in my heart.  This stamp set I used in Certainly Celery and Whisper White on my first ever workshop card (CASEd completely from Judy Garza, my upline, and my sideline, Deborah Bues).  I never would have imagined the pink and browns together though - so that's definitely something I'm going to have to keep in mind!  (Just Believe is the stamp set.)

Jan Kelman Heggen created this one, that once again, was failed by my camera skills.  Fast and simple, this card used up a lot of the paper from our Sale-A-Bration (SAB) exclusive set, which ended in March.  She also used the Labels Framelits on this fun, fast card.

Jennifer Olea created the above.  She used some of the colors popular (and the ribbon exclusive) to our SAB even this year.  I also spy that Blossom Punch from the Occasion Mini again, as well as the Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder, and the Bird Builder punch (for the leaves).  Much prettier than my photo portrays!

1000th Stamper Cards Received - 02

Onward, to more delightful cards I received for being the 1000th member of LNS on Stampin' Connection.

To enjoy these pictures with a faster loading time, check out my blog at: mistykulik.blogspot.com

This gorgeous card is brought to you by Brenda Riehle.  Love the purple!  The stamp set is from our Sale-A-Bration (SAB) event, that just ended at the end of March.  It was one of several stamp sets you could earn for free, with every $50 worth of product purchased.  So, while this stamp set is no longer available, I do happen to have an extra.  Contact me if you'd like to join a contest to win this set!

Also, her card uses the Labels framelits Stampin' Up! started offering in our 2012 Occasions Mini.  Let me know if you'd like to get these neat tools to use in your Big Shot.

I really liked this two-tone card - and wanted to re-create it so badly!  However, I didn't have the DSP used on this card, so I've put it on the back burner for now.  Charlotte Coombes is the creater of this card, and she did a fabulous job.  Don't you just love how the stamp ink matches the cardstock, which matches the DSP (designer series paper)?  That's what Stampin' Up! is famous for! Also used is the Mixed Bunch Flower set, available through the Occasions Mini through the end of this month - so hurry now and order.

Ok, my photography skills are seriously lacking in this photo, and I hope to actually retake this photo with some tips I learned recently, so I can give the creator proper justice for her card.  Dale Morin is this card's author.  And let me tell you - it may look simple - but it's so sweet.  Hidden under the snip of green ribbon you see, Dale used a SAB stamp set as well, and embossed it in white, on this baby blue cardstock.  So sweet and simple, but it adds so much.  Keep on me - and I'll try to upload a better photo soon!

This was another sweet and simple card - but elegant in person.  Dianne Lowe is the creator, and what you can't see, is the use of our Manhattan Flower embossing folder on the white cardstock block under the thank you.  Super sweet!

DeAnna Passmore is the creator of this card, who I did another injustice to, in my picture-taking techniques.  So neat was her idea, though, I CASEd (copy and share everything) it for my upcoming card buffet.  (What's a card buffet?, you say, more info on that to come soon.)  I switched up the DSP a little - since I didn't have this particular one, and entered a "happy birthday" in the center of the flower, but sizing and layout I completely stole!  Thanks DeAnna!

Elaine deMontmorenay sent me this next card.  Cute, cute, cute, and I love the colors - though the "brown" used is washed out here.  Elaine used our new Button Buddies stamp set to get the pig.  Oink!

1000th Stamper Cards Received - 01

Remember my blog on being Positively Late Night Stamper's 1000th member to join on Stampin' Connection (a demonstrator-exclusive "facebook"-like website)?  Well, I think I've most definitely received all the cards I am going to get.  It ended up being 42 cards...Just for joining a Stampin' group!  Awesome!  I thought I'd take a break from some of my Leadership cards, to bring you the pictures of some of those swap cards.

Please forgive me and my camera, we both need some help.  But, I have since learned some picture-taking techniques that should work well for me in the future.  I just couldn't see re-taking all of these photos RIGHT now!  :)  I tried to give credit to everyone who sent me one.  Enjoy!

****Hint, if you're looking at this blog on my Stampin' Up! demonstrator website, you might head over to my newer blog at: http://mistykulik.blogspot.com/
It seems to have a MUCH faster load-time than Stampin' Up!.

This card was brought to you by Demo Alissa Weaver.  Alissa used one of my favorite color combinations since joining Stampin' Up! - purple and black  (or rather - rich razzleberry and basic black)  Alissa also used the retiring stamp set, Elizabeth - so if you like the background stamp behind the "create" label (it's hard to see in my picture, I know), please contact me, and we'll order it today - before it retires as of 5/31/12.

This card is by Demo Angela Khan.  And one of my favorites!  She blinged this card to the max!  Can you see all the detail - with so many pearls, the edging of the card, and even the buttons being threaded?  This was a WOW card from the get-go...and it arrived in perfect condition.  :)  This set uses our new Mixed Bunch stamp set, that appears in the Occasions mini catalog that expires at the end of the month.  Can't live without those flowers?  Contact me, and we'll place an order for them today!

This card was brought to you by April Vicary.  And it's a wow card too.  I believe she used the glossy white cardstock that Stampin' Up! makes, and it's effect was neat!  I also spy the Nature Walk stamp set, which is safe for now, and should be carrying over to the 2012-2013 Idea Book and Catalog.  I love the neutral colorations on this card!

This card was created by Beverly Farmer, and I'm sorry to say, my picture-taking takes a LOT away from this card!  See those hearts up top?  Those are from our silver glitter paper, and they sparkle and shine like you would not believe!  A perfect Valentine card.  :)

This card is brought to you by a BLatte.  I'm unsure of the first name! - she just had the "B" on the return address!  Neat card though, and it uses the first embossing folder my mother purchased (or was it me?) from Stampin' Up! - Elegant Lines.  Embossing is fun!  It also uses the teacup from our stamp set, Timeless Treasures.  My mom loves tea! -- we even had a Stampin' party for her 60th Birthday this year.  I'll have to show you our cards soon.

This one is from Boni Montano.  It uses a lot of neat new items, from our Occasions Mini Catalog.  I spy the Labels Framelits, as well as the coordinating stamp set, Apothecary Art.  Grab these two items before the end of May!  We're not sure if they'll be carrying over to the 2012-2013 IBC or not!

It's Earth Day!

Do something wonderful to benefit our great planet today.  Recycle a card.  Plant some flowers.  Or maybe, just smile, share it with others, and enjoy a great day outdoors.

Leadership 2012 - 04

"You make me feel like dancing!"

Yes - we had dancing at Leadership 2012.  We rock!

Ok, so maybe it wasn't all fun and games...

But then, again, maybe it was!....

Dance, dance, dance!

I actually won one of these!  It's an awesome addition to Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored tool.  It's not in a catalog just yet, but contact me - and I can go ahead and order one for you!

This is the dimensions for something neat you can create with the new diagonal score plate.  Any ideas on what?  Hint: you place your cardstock on once, score at the 3 1/8" line, turn the page and score at the 4 1/8" line, then repeat for the two remaining sides.  Give up?

This help you any?

That's right...add a little extra to it, and it's a coordinating envelope for whatever card project you are working on at the moment!  So now, we're not limited to just whisper white or very vanilla!  :)  How cool!?

Here's the neat card she put in the envelope.  This stamp set is from our Occasions Mini catalog, which you can order from through April 30, 2012.  Want to know what makes it neater?  There's cherry scented embossing powder used on the top of that cone - also in the Occasions Mini.  Place your order with me now, before there's the chance that these products don't make it into the 2012-2013 IBC!

This was another neat craft idea we learned how to make on the diagonal score plate.  Want to learn how?  Contact me, and we'll make one together!

What else can you make?  Boxes!

Neat gift idea - isn't it?  Let's get together and make some!

Another nifty idea - wax-coated DSP (designer series paper).  Why?  Because these little "envelopes" hold some shortbread cookies made with our Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps.  What a neat treat!  And the buttery-richness won't bleed through the paper!

Like what you saw on today's eye candy?  Contact me, and we can start crafting and stamping today!

Happy Stamping!

Leadership 2012 - 03

Leadership was seriously one of the most inspiring events I've ever attended - for any job.  And, it wasn't just like any other old boring office meeting, it was fabulously fun at the same time!  One of the neatest things was getting to actually see Shelli Gardner - one of the founders of Stampin' Up! - up close.

The theme for this year is "My Way", which you can see here in this picture of Shelli.

Here she is, as she first came on stage.

My upline, Judy Garza, is the best!  She and her upline, Barbara, got us 5th row seats for the first day!  How awesome was that?

And ok - maybe my camera & timing skills aren't the best, even at 5th row seating - but I had a blast taking pictures of this fabulously inspiring and encouraging woman.

I think I was super-excited here - because they were passing out freebies!  Free stamp set?  Why, yes - SURE!

This was my attempt to get the entire auditorium full of demonstrators.  We ended up having the largest Leadership turnout EVER!  Go San Antonio!  :)

We got to walk the stage if we'd had title promotions during the year.  Judy got a picture of me walking (which I'll have to steal off her blog and post sometime), but I (barely) got a picture of my sideline, Nyla Kelley.  Go Nyla!

Want to attend Leadership next year?  It was a blast and you'll see a number of exciting new ideas and products.  Contact me, and join my team!

Happy Stamping,
Misty
