Other Website

I've been sharing a lot of pictures the past few days, and realize that you might have some difficulty viewing them on my Stampin' Up! official blog. For some reason, on my computer and the ones I have access to in other spots, the pictures load so slowly on the SU! website. So, I've also been keeping up with my postings on blogger.com for free. Please feel free to view my blog there, as I've had NO problems showing off my blog candy on that site. I hope to hook up PayPal at this site in the future, to make it easier to RSVP for classes, or to buy finished projects from me directly. Here's the link:

This is THIS website you are currently viewing.  If you'd rather see my Stampin' Up! blog, and shop online through Stampin' Up!, please visit:

And then here's your eye candy for today. Look familiar? Most of these cards were ones I showed off on Wednesday this week, from one of my card buffets I held over the summer.

Halloween Projects

Over the summer, I decided to make some Spooktacular projects for Halloween gifts. I even held a class, where we got to create (4) 3-D projects. Here are those items:

I copied this bag topper idea from Michelle Suit. She has some absolutely darling punch art doggies that she's created. Anyways, I thought this little bat-dog was too cute, and had to re-create it as a bag topper for Halloween goodies.

This little guy I found online as well (sorry, don't remember who!), and posted him on the Fancy Favor Bigz XL box die (p194, #115965). Cute little devil! I'm not one that likes the scary and gruesome sort of Halloween "haunts". I'm much more of a fan of the whimsical and silly.

These guys I created out of the Jack of All Trades stamp set (p28, #122622), to create another goodie bag topper. CUTE JACKS to be made!

And then this fellow is a cute 3-D post-it note & pen holder, using the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set (p29, #123946). It also used the bat punch, which is retired, but you can now find on the Clearance section of Stampin' Up!'s website. I got the idea for the post-it note holder from Jill Hilliard, Jill's Card Creations.

Here's another view:

Christmas Card Buffet

Did you like my idea yesterday for the card buffet, but really want to get your Christmas cards in order first? Join me for a Christmas Card Buffet Class in October. Select as many of one design as you'd like to create, or several different designs instead. The price will be the same - $25 to make 8 cards of your choice. $2.50 for each additional card over 8. We'll take three hours and have some light refreshments and fabulous friends to have fun with.
These Christmas cards were in the buffet available this summer. They'll be available again next month, along with a few more choices.

This was actually my most used Christmas card last year. I sent a ton out to clients at my old workplace, in hopes of some orders. :) Didn't work, but I did get several compliments....

I set it up so you could make 2 of this "flat" Christmas card, but only have it count towards 1 of your 8 cards allowed per buffet. It's definitely quick and easy, but very pretty!

I made this for a friend's very first workshop. She liked it so much, she was making some more this year, in different colors. :)

Stockpile Your Card Collection

Ever wanted to stockpile your card collection? I have an easy way for you to do so. Simply attend any of my card buffet classes, and you can pick and choose what cards you'd like to make. Need more Birthday cards, a couple Thank you cards, but have plenty of Get Well cards already on hand? My card buffet class is perfect for you! Attend a 3-hour session with light refreshments for $25, and you get everything you need to make 8 cards of your choice from a selection of 15 different designs. Envelopes included.

Interested? Here are the pictures from one of the card buffet classes I held over this summer. I'll be having more in October, so reserve your seat now, or wait for the class listing to come out later this week.

This was a blank card, that you could turn into whatever type of event card you wanted.

This was using the Baby Prints stamp set which debuted in the Spring Catalog for 2012 (now pg 63, #125472 in the new 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog). Great way to usher in a new baby girl. :)

Quick way to incorporate the 2011-2012 In Colors set into a simple birthday card.

Sympathy card for all occasions. (retired stamp set)

Simple congratulations card, using the now retired 2010-2011 In Colors, as featured in the exclusive Stampin' Success magazine only demonstrators receive. Want to receive your copy? Sign up with me today, and I'll walk you through all the amazing benefits of being an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator!

Another sympathy card using the Love & Sympathy (p54, #122797) stamp set. See the inside:

This card also features a frame made from the Top Note Bigz die (p193, #113462) and the new Labels Framelits Stampin' Up! is carrying (p191, #125598).

This was a great male birthday card, using the now retired stamp set, Totally Tool.

This card I actually got the idea from a card swap I received. I believe the creator was D. Passmore, if I remember correctly.

I came up with this Congratulatory card using a stamp set that was offered in the Sale-A-Bration catalog for 2012.

Love this card, using the now retired butterfly from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I actually got the idea for this card from a card swap, and can't find the creator now. Sorry! If it's your card idea, let me know, and I'll add your name!

I made this dimensionalized "It's A Boy" card with the Little Additions stamp set (p62, #121991).

Made this great gift card holder based on the card swap I received from fellow Victoria demo, Stephanie Lopez. Love this design! Here's the inside:

See the little pocket perfect for slipping in a gift card or cash? Fabulous idea!

Whew!

Whew! Time sure does fly, especially when you don't want it to!

Sorry I've been AWOL for the past 3 months, but it was time I needed to take for myself and my family. Several things did get straightened and resolved, which was great. :) I now am officially working from home, at my Stampin' Up! business. I'm also doing some long overdue deep cleaning and decluttering of my house, in order to have more time to dedicate to creating and playing with Stampin' Up!'s endless possibilities with their products. Yay! I am officially working at my dream job!!!!

I don't currently have any class offerings for September, but hope to plan out several dates in October for some Stampin' Up! fun. If you're wanting to have a workshop (at your house or mine), that's still a possibility for September, so just let me know.

Off to some fun eye candy of a few cards I've been working on over the summer. These pictures are of the 4 projects we made at a heat embossing class I held. Want to try them? Give me a call or an email, and we'll set up a new class for you to attend.

Ok, super simple, and only one color on this project....but you can INDEED stamp on candles using the Stampin' Up! heat embossing tool (p159 of the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog; #129053). Want to learn how? Call me!

This card I made using the Bordering on Romance stamp set (p120; #125480). The outline of all the flowers we learned how to emboss with black embossing powder (p159; #109133). We then colored in the flowers with the Stampin' Up! Many Marvelous Markers (p157; #119806), though we could have used Aqua painters (p178; #103954), Blender Pens (p178; #102845), Watercolor Crayons (p157), or Watercolor Pencils (p157; #101879) instead. Embossing an outlined stamped image like this is fun, because it automatically creates a border for you to use when you are using the Aqua painters or the Blender pens. You get smooth, even "painting" effects every time. Also used on the card were the new Labels Collection Framelits that Stampin' Up! is offering in conjunction with Sizzix (p191; #125598). These new framelits are so fun to use, and each set can be used as a border or "tag" type of situation, like I did, or with some of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive coordinating stamp sets that match with different sizes of the framelits just perfectly. How fun!

This one turned out a little differently in actual creation during the class, but I couldn't find the example card! What we did was use the Mixed Bunch stamp set (p94, #125535) to stamp in retired color Concord Crush all over the front of our card base. We did random stamping, with no overlaps. Then, on the one stamp you do see overlapped in the top left corner, we actually stamped on scrap paper, in retired Pear Pizazz color. But first, we inked up the stamp in Versamark ink (p159, #102283), then stamped it directly onto the Pear Pizazz ink pad. What I was showing on this card is how if you have an ink color, but not the embossing powder in a color you want, you can actually create the effect that you used a colored embossing powder by adding Versamark and clear embossing powder (p159, #109130). We then used the small circle center from the Mixed Bunch stamp set, stamped it in Concord Crush, and then layered it on top of the Pear Pizazz flower we punched out with the Blossom Punch (p185, #125603). These were both attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (p177, #104430), and a jewel rhinestone was added to the center (p175, #119246). It ended up looking fabulous in person.

This card was my favorite. In this card example, I was setting out to show my class attendees that you can use a technique called emboss resist with clear embossing powder (p159, #109130). Want to learn how? Contact me! Other items we used: retired Ticket corner punch, retired Simple Friendship stamp set, Pacific Point ink, sponge (p179, #101610).
